We are looking for a Full-time Point of Sale (POS) Technician to join our Montreal Team, starting immediately.

Position Summary

The Point of Sale Technician is responsible for supporting & troubleshooting POS hardware and software issues. Duties will include providing superior customer service, resolving hardware and software issues, performing on-site installations and trainings. The ideal candidate must be bi-lingual (French & English) possess technical skills, have the capacity to learn new software and hardware, work with customers on site during installation and provide training over the phone to resolve POS software related issues. Please note that the successful candidate must be willing to travel occasionally in Canada/USA as the position involves on-site visits for POS application installations and training. This position also requires on-call dial-in support during and outside of regular business hours.

Qualifications

  • Possess superior customer service
  • Current A+ Certification, MCSE or equivalent
  • Knowledge of POS hardware including scanner/scales, receipt printers and EFT hardware an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows OS
  • Strong knowledge of working with PC hardware (workstation and server)
  • Good understanding of LAN and WAN concepts and local area network administration
  • Ability to learn new POS software solutions, Server/Client on premise and Cloud
  • A strong desire and ability to continue learning and to stay ahead of the fast changing technology
  • Technical hardware skills on POS systems, Servers, Desktop, Network devices
  • Troubleshooting skills with outstanding problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skill
  • Self-motivated and as well, works well in a team environment
  • Abilities in prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Likes to build on skill sets, and enjoy learning new things

Requirements:

  • Must be fully fluent bilingual English/French (Spanish is an asset)
  • Must have own vehicle in working condition
  • Valid Driver’s license as travel is required for site visits and installations
